I was diagnosed at a young age and went through the special education system in public schools. Family is incredibly important to me as I grew up in a large supportive family. I enjoy being outside in nature and arts and crafts.

This year’s presidential election is coming up fast. I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to vote this year. I’ve been voting for many years but this year feels different than previous years.
Could it be my overflowing emails with political ads or the political ads that I find in my mailbox? It feels a little bit more intense than previous years to me. I think I’m paying more attention to the political ads compared to previous years most likely. I know that I’m not alone in feeling like this year’s election is a bigger deal to many more people than usual. I feel more pressure to get out and vote than ever before.
I’m planning on voting in person at my local polling place. I’m also planning to look up the ballot ahead of time so then I know whom I want to vote for so I can get in and out of the polling place as quickly as possible. So far I’m not having the best luck finding my local sample ballot. I’m hoping my friend who I’m seeing later today might be able to help me find the information. I’m really lucky in that my polling place is close enough to walk to so I don’t need to worry about finding a parking spot.
I expect to have lots of mixed feelings on election day. I’m pretty sure that it will be hard for me to focus on getting work done. I wonder if other people might have difficulty focusing that day as well. I’m also curious if I’m alone in having mixed feelings about this year’s election. No matter what happens in this year’s election, I’m grateful for the opportunity to have my vote counted in this democratic process.
