Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I started off the summer season with a trip to the farmer’s market with my group of friends. I have decided that I am going to talk about that trip to the West Shore Market. I find this trip sentimental to me because I haven’t been able to spend time with them for the past 11 months which is almost a year. Last time I spent time with them was July 2023 and that was for a trip to Baltimore. It felt good to go out and have fun, but I was getting tired by the end of the day.
Last month, me and my group went to the West Shore Farmers Market and that trip was funded by the Bands for Autism, which is an organization that funds our meetings. Anyway, while we were at the market, we just walked around looking through the various shops in the building and had lunch there. I didn’t have much to eat, I just bought myself a snack and a smoothie. Some of the stuff there was pretty pricey, and I didn’t want to spend too much.
I bought a few things though. There is a place inside the market that makes New York Style bagels and that’s what I bought because my family loves those kinds of bagels and not only that, I thought it would be a simple breakfast for everyone. I also bought a little journal for writing down my recipes and a little purse because I love bags of any size and design. I practically collect them. We were there from 9:30am to almost 1 in the afternoon so from there we left the market to go to Rita’s right down the road because some of us wanted ice cream.
I know I personally did, and it was nice because I have never gone to a Rita’s with friends before. I had a frozen vanilla custard on a cone with sprinkles and everyone had something different. I don’t know what’s better to end the day with ice cream or a trip to the nearby park? Well, I would have to say both. We went to the park for a little while before heading home because it was a nice day out. It was a sunny 80-degree day with a nice breeze so we decided to do that.
I didn’t get home until almost 3:30 in the evening and couldn’t wait to put on pajamas and relax. I was happy that I had a good day and it’s the best time I ever had. Back in February, we discussed only going places that are within the community or in the area because there is still no funding for transportation or big group outings. We are doing things that are cost efficient, like doing small social trips.
I would like to conclude this post by saying, I enjoyed my time out and can’t wait to spend time with them again in the future. It truly made my day and couldn’t be happier that I was able to do that. I hope you all enjoy this post and have a good day
