Teresa is in her early 20s and looking forward to blogging about her journey with newly diagnosed autism. Within the past few years, she’s had to rebuild her entire life from scratch and navigate everything very differently. She recently had the opportunity to job shadow at different locations and has been inspired to attend college and one day work with children. Teresa is eager for this new chapter in her life and wants to inspire others with autism to never give up, despite whatever obstacles life may throw their way.

Welcome back to my blog! I know I talked about this in a previous blog, but in this blog, I wanted to talk a bit more about an interview I did for a podcast being released this month!
The podcast is called Autism Unmasked and in honor of Fair Housing Month in April, I talked about my experience in a group home and also how the system works. I also talked about advocacy, the challenges I faced while living in a group home, as well as some positive parts I experienced while living there.
I’m so grateful that I got the chance to do the podcast, and I hope that by sharing my experience, it could potentially help someone else who might be living in a group home or who is in the process of living in one. I don’t think I’d be here today without the help of my support and the staff from the previous group home I lived in and for that I’ll always be grateful.
That’s all I have for this blog; sorry it was so short. I hope you enjoyed it and I’ll see you in the next one!
