My Christmas Traditions

Posted on

Since it’s the holiday season, I thought I would share some of my Christmas traditions. I also wanted to talk about how some of these traditions have changed over the years, especially after losing my mom.

My favorite Christmas traditions are making cookies and watching Christmas movies, specifically the movie Elf. I also enjoy getting together with my friends and family.

I will admit, the holiday season doesn’t feel as cheerful without my mom. I remember waking up in the morning and eating breakfast. After, we would open gifts and watch the Disney Christmas parade and Christmas movies.

Since my mom passed away, I haven’t celebrated Christmas as much as I used to, mostly because it doesn’t feel the same without her. However, I do try to implement some of the same traditions that I did with my mom.

As the year comes to a close, I’m excited for what’s to come. I want to finish by saying I hope anyone reading this has a happy and safe holiday. I will see you in the next blog

Within the past few years, she’s had to rebuild her entire life from scratch and navigate everything very differently. She recently had the opportunity to job shadow at different locations and has been inspired to attend college and one day work with children. Teresa is eager for this new chapter in her life and wants to inspire others with autism to never give up, despite whatever obstacles life may throw their way.
