Looking forward to something

Posted on July 8, 2025

I find it easy to be overwhelmed these days, but the big bright spot for me is a serial novel that is being released via blog on my favorite author’s page. I wait with bated breath and excitement to see what they will release on those Mondays and Fridays. I even enjoy reading the comments that people post after reading that day’s selection. It’s fun being part of a group. The authors call us the “book devouring horde,” which I think is funny.

The authors are a husband-and-wife team who use the pen name Ilona Andrews. I’m incredibly overjoyed by their generosity and the energy that they’re putting into this. Not only do I love reading their books, but I also have reread them several times. I find myself imagining that I would genuinely love to meet them as people not just as authors. I love their blog and the way that I feel like I can get a sense of who they are as people.

If I could say something to them, I would say thank you for making my life better for giving me something to imagine and something to dream about. I would say thank you so much for sharing a bit of your life with me via your blog. I would wish them many happy and successful years to come.

They also have a new book that is coming out next year. It’s the start of a new series. I’m sure it will be very successful, and many books will be sold. The title is ” This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me” (Maggie the Undying: Book 1). I’m not entirely sure about what the book will be like to read, however, I can’t wait to read it!

Is there something that brings you joy? Is there something that you’re excited about? I find having something to look forward to helps me be a happier person. It makes it easier to be the kind of person I want to be. Do you agree with the power of having something to look forward too? As always, I hope you have found something useful in this blog.

Out-of-Sync Woman

I was diagnosed at a young age and went through the special education system in public schools. Family is incredibly important to me as I grew up in a large supportive family. I enjoy being outside in nature and arts and crafts.

About ASERT

The Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training Collaborative (ASERT) is a statewide initiative funded by the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). The goal of the ASERT Collaborative is to provide streamlined access to information for autistic Pennsylvanians.

Throughout this website we use the term ‘autism’ to refer to all autism spectrum disorders. In some sections of the site, language has been adopted directly from self-advocacy groups in order to use language preferred by self-advocates.
