Ghosts

There’s a TV show my parents and I like to watch on Paramount Plus called “Ghosts”. It’s about a couple who inherit a mansion and then decide to turn it into a Bed & Breakfast, but then the wife (her name is Sam) falls down the stairs and hits her head hard. When she wakes up, she can see ghosts! At first, she freaks out and thinks she’s going crazy, so she goes to see a doctor about it. He says her accident left her so close to death she can now see ghosts and then proves it by sharing that he is also a ghost!
After a while the couple gets into a new routine. Them become friends with the ghosts that they now share a home with, and it got me thinking, “Wouldn’t it be cool if I could see ghosts?”
I’ve always had a fascination with the things we can’t see – like mermaids, ghosts, and superpowers. There’s a quote from my favorite Christmas movie, The Polar Express, it’s “Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can’t see”. Maybe it’s true. Maybe the most real things in the world are invisible to us without even knowing it but maybe feeling it. Let’s say you feel someone touching your cheek; something you smell that reminds you of someone or something. I honestly can say I believe in ghosts and would love to get to talk to one if I could. Maybe someone from my family or someone who was on the Titanic, a hippie, or a war veteran.
Seeing ghosts, especially someone from your family, could give you the opportunity to learn more about your past and meet a side of yourself you never knew. How great would it be if I could meet my dad’s grandfather?
That’s all I’ve got for now, I’m off to watch Ghosts.
It’s a really good show…Try it!!
