Teresa is in her early 20s and looking forward to blogging about her journey with newly diagnosed autism. Within the past few years, she’s had to rebuild her entire life from scratch and navigate everything very differently. She recently had the opportunity to job shadow at different locations and has been inspired to attend college and one day work with children. Teresa is eager for this new chapter in her life and wants to inspire others with autism to never give up, despite whatever obstacles life may throw their way.

Welcome back to my blog! April is Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month, and I want to share something that means a lot to me: my special interest.
So, for me, my special interest is writing. I have always enjoyed writing, when I was a bit younger, I used to write short stories but that is something I haven’t done in a while. Now, I have my blog and that is something I enjoy doing.
I’ve also always had a strong passion for helping others and I believe that is also my special interest. I’m interested in social causes, humanities, and advocating for those around me whose voices might not be heard. Through writing and blogs, it gives me an outlet to share my thoughts and even if no one ever reads them, I’m proud of the blogs I write. Even if I help just one person feel seen or understood, that means a lot to me.
In closing, I hope to continue helping others feel less alone and more understood. My goal is to keep using my writing to support and advocate for others.
Thank you for reading and as always, I’ll see you in the next blog!
