The PA Family Network hosts free, virtual, bi-weekly chair yoga sessions.
This is a gentle form of yoga that can be done while sitting. It can improve your flexibility, concentration, and strength while boosting your mood, and reducing stress and joint strain.
Taught by Megan Do Nascimento: She is a Philadelphia native who studied dance at the High School for Creative and Performing Arts and Spanish at Temple University. She first practiced yoga while undergoing treatment for breast cancer six years ago. Yoga became a safe space that allowed Megan to disconnect from treatment and feel power. She completed her 200-hour teacher training at Hot Box Yoga in Manayunk.
The PA Family Network provides family workshops and networking opportunities throughout PA, led by trained Family Advisors.
