For Children

Overview

These resources, part of the Be Safe resource collection, provide visual explanations of what is considered private parts on both males and females for adults and children. This resource is designed for parents/caregivers, professionals, or family members to use with individuals with autism to help explain the concept of 'private parts' as a way to help prevent sexual abuse and assault.

What Are Private Parts?

‘Private parts’ are parts of the body that are covered by a bathing suit.

Boys

For boys this means the penis and buttocks

Girls

For girls this means the breasts, vagina and buttocks

Мальчики

Для мальчиков – это пенис и ягодицы

Девочки

Для девочек – это грудь, влагалище и ягодицы
