Youth’s Perceptions and Experiences of the COVID-19 Pandemic

About this event

The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly had an impact on many. Youth face unique social and psychological challenges as a result of the extensive protective measures in place.

As part of an international UNICEF project, these impacts and consequences are being brought to light. Through focus groups, youth have been provided a platform to not only share their experiences but also to suggest possible solutions or policies that could be put in place to better address their needs.

About Sarah Caimano

Sarah Caimano is a recent Honours Neuroscience graduate from Bishop’s University. Among other involvements, she spent the last two years working under Dr. Heather Lawford in her Community and Youth Research Lab. During this time, she also completed an honours research project where she explored the effects COVID-19 was having on youth. Starting in the fall, Sarah will begin working on her Master’s degree in School and Applied Child Psychology at Western University.
