Writing for the Culture: Connecting with Our Roots

This writing program is targeted for teens ages 13-19.

About this event

This a two-days program is targeted for teens ages 13-19. Participants will have a discussion with Black Panther Veteran Yasmeen Majid about her life and activism as well as leadership and systematic changes that plague them today. They will then come together for a virtual writing workshop with Nigerian born Bangladeshi American writer and photographer Abeer Hoque connecting this discussion with their experience today.

Schedule: Thursday, June 24th @ 4:00pm EST and Wednesday, June 30th @ 4:00pm EST.
