Mail art is a perfect way to stay creative and connect with others as there entering the coldest season and spending as much time as possible safely at home.
Would you like to join the Art Department winter mail art exchange? There are many ways to approach mail art: for this one they are asking participants to register first by completing this form and then mail five pieces of artwork to them along with a stamp in order to receive five different randomly selected pieces from other participants. The artwork, ideally on paper, must be no larger than 5 x 7 inches and easily fit in an envelope. Please see the registration form linked above for more details.
They’ve put together a very brief list of books you can borrow for some ideas of different approaches and techniques for mailable art.
Extended Deadline: February 28th, 2020. Any artwork received after that date will not be distributed.
No future dates are known at this time.
