Visual Journaling: "I am rooted, but I flow"

Join Christine and friends during the weekly Visual Journaling session. Bring a journal and art/writing supplies. Make and share your work!

About this event

Join Christine and friends on Saturday mornings for a free, weekly 30 minute visual journaling session. Bring a journal and art/writing supplies to work while they socialize. Bring writing and/or art pieces to share with the group!

Journaling is an intimate process of self awareness and discovery. The visual journal is unique because it contains part visual art elements and part words. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then visual journals are highly expressive tools for creative and non-creative folk alike. This class focuses on building upon your visual journaling, diary or art-making habits.

The theme for this visual journaling session is FLOW.

Who can join?

  • Anyone can register for the morning virtual visual journaling sessions!

What do you do?

  • For 30 minutes, they will introduce themselves, show and tell their visual journals and, at the end, I will share a visual journaling prompt. Feel free to share your creations at next week’s session! If time permits, they will have an open studio session. This is time to draw, write and socialize together.

Where does it take place?

  • Zoom link will be provided the day of the event date.

When is it?

  • Every Saturday morning at 10a-10:30a EST.

How can I find out more about your classes and Visual Journaling?

  • Christine teaches in-person and virtual Visual Journaling at the Norfolk, VA based Muse Writer’s Center. These full classes teach a new art technique for your visual journal, provide an opportunity to work on your creative goals, and a guest artist shares their visual journals. Follow link for information about future and past Introductory and Advanced Visual Journaling classes: https://the-muse.org/teachers/user/75/
