Institute on Disabilities at Temple University: TechOWL's Community Space Grand Opening

TechOWL’s Community Space at the Institute on Disabilities, on Temple University’s main campus, is a place where people can explore tools and technology to discover what works for them.

TechOWL’s Community Space allows people to:

  • Try cutting-edge vision equipment, mobility devices, and other assistive tech options;
  • See 3D printing in action for creating assistive devices;
  • Discover accessible video gaming with the Xbox Adaptive Controller;
  • And much more.

The Grand Opening will feature demonstrations, tours, and more!

  • The TechOWL Community Space has a barrier free entrance and an accessible restroom.
  • An ASL interpreter will be available through the Grand Opening events.
  • Please wear a mask if possible.
  • Come for the entire event OR just come for a little while!

TechOWL is Pennsylvania’s designated Assistive Technology Act Program. TechOWL is one of 56 programs in the nation.
