Taniqua Hunter considers herself an advocate for people with disabilities.
Her passion is to help others transform their lives through the power of workforce development.
She has worked for Adult Career and Continuing Education Services- Vocational Rehabilitation, ACCES-VR since 2004.
For twelve years, Taniqua provided direct vocational rehabilitation services to participants in search of employment.
She currently serves as the Business Relations Representative for the Queens ACCES-VR District Office. Most of her time is spent working with businesses to develop internships, employment opportunities and assist with recruitment. Her current role enables her to train employers about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), disability etiquette, and reasonable accommodations, etc.
Taniqua is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). She holds a Master of Science in Education in Rehabilitation Counseling from Hofstra University.
