Nature Journaling: Creativity in the Cold Months

Come enjoy the beauty of winter. The leaves have dropped from the trees which opens a whole new world to explore and observe! Learn some tips and tricks for journaling in colder weather including prepping background pages indoors, using views from a window, and learning what tools work best in the field during colder months.

What to Expect: This program is recommended for ages 16 and up (participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). We will begin upstairs in the barn. If the weather is pleasant, we will meander outside, taking a short stroll for connection with nature. Afterwards we will return to the barn for the opportunity to record observations and an open time for questions and dialogue regarding the practice of nature journaling. Restrooms are available on site.

What to Bring: Nature journals and writing tools (pen/pencil/marker). Phone as a tool for reference pictures.
