Montgomery County Juneteenth Celebration

Juneteenth is the National celebration of freedom for African Americans, marking the fulfillment of Abraham Lincolns Emancipation Proclamation. All around the country people gather in droves, bringing music, food and dancing to create memorable events. The Eastern Montgomery County Juneteenth celebration has brought every demographic together to learn, socialize and make memories. This year they will have events on BOTH Saturday AND Sunday!!!

The years event will highlight local vendors, creating a huge market place! They will have some of the best soul food and other cosine options. Children’s activities range from book readings to face painting to dancing the night away. All of the local leaders will be in attendance to meet the community, as well as the local police and fire department. Live entertainment will include singers, dancers, comedians and poets. This event is for all ages, races, religions and music preferences.

Saturday, June 18th, 2022  will be the biggest block party seen in Willow Grove. This celebration will take place on Park Avenue in Willow Grove.

Sunday June 19th, 2022 they will celebrate both Juneteenth AND Fathers Day. This event will be held at the Willow Grove YMCA. Their focus will be on providing a spectacular time for families with a particular focus on  celebrating fatherhood.
