How to Keep your Medical Assistance and Disability Benefits While Working
During this FREE webinar hosted by the Pennsylvania Health Law Project (PHLP), attendees will learn about Medical Assistance for Workers with Disabilities (MAWD), a state-run health insurance program. MAWD provides low-cost coverage to people who are disabled and working. Review the new category of MAWD, Workers with Job Success (WJS). WJS, which allows people on MAWD to earn and save more and still keep their benefits.
Topics covered include:
- Who qualifies for MAWD and WJS?
- How do I meet MAWD’s work and disability requirements?
- What documents are needed to show employment and disability status?
- How much can I work and still qualify for benefits like Social Security?
- How do I apply? What happens if my application is denied?
