Public Meeting: Frick Environmental Center Outdoor Sensory Classroom

Join for a public meeting about the Frick Environmental Center Outdoor Sensory Classroom project! 

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and its design team will present concept designs for the Outdoor Sensory Classroom for your input and feedback. This project will create sensory experiences and teaching moments of various sizes and scales, organized along an accessible route that winds through the natural landscape at the Frick Environmental Center (FEC). The space will provide structured learning, play, discovery, observation, and gathering opportunities.

Virtual Meeting

  • January 24, 12:00 – 1:00 pm
    • Informational, 60-minute meeting, to present an overview of the project, design concepts, and have a short Q&A session. More Information Here

In-Person Meetings

  • January 26, 6:00 – 7:00 pm
    • Workshop-style meeting to present design concepts and break out into groups for in-depth discussion. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. More Information Here
  • January 28, 10:00 am – noon
    • Short 30-minute tour of the project area, followed by 90-minute workshop-style meeting to  present design concepts and break out into groups for in-depth discussion. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. More Information Here
