Hosted by Brandywine Museum of Art.
Individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorder and their families are invited to join for early access to the Museum and a variety of creative and accessible activities.
Created in conjunction with local families and occupational therapists, this inclusive and accessible program strives to provide a welcoming experience through offering:
- Pre-visit social stories
- Reduced crowding and noise
- Activities to meet a variety of sensory needs
- Hands-on art activities for all developmental levels
- On-hand support of skilled and friendly volunteers
- Sensory regulation resources such as fidgets, noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, and a sensory break area
- •Sensory nature walk (weather-permitting)
This program welcomes participants of all ages and their families (grandparents, siblings, and others welcome!).
The Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art preserves and presents elements of art and nature that highlight the extraordinary beauty of the Brandywine region in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
